Refrigerator Water Line Leak in Nutley, New Jersey

Donna from Nutley New Jersey called an Appliance repair company after she noticed water coming out from the bottom of her sub-zero refrigerator in the kitchen.  When they arrived they found the water line had let go & was leaking.
Within days she noticed the wooden floor starting to warp. She called us upon further evaluation we notice the water had gone down into the basement ceiling. We set up dryers & dehumidifiers in the kitchen & dining room. We removed the portion of the drywall ceiling that got wet along with acoustical sound dampening board & wet unsalvageable insulation. We set up dryers & dehumidifiers in the basement after we treated the ceiling joists with micro ban an ant microbial treatment.
We were able to bill the insurance for the mitigation. We also left the homeowner with a remodeling estimate that her homeowner’s insurance paid.
